Dr Rene Haeberli - Founder & Director of Envirosolve
Rene Haeberli founded Envirosolve in 2011 with the aim of reducing the number of damaging emissions created by the heating our homes, offices, schools, hospitals and swimming pools.
He is a qualified civil engineer and veterinarian, but his passion is the environment and preserving it for our future generations. Rene has spent decades using his practical and engineering skills to match New Zealand’s environmental challenges with proven, clean solutions.
His work in this area has been formally recognised as making “significant contributions” to improving air quality by the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand.
EnviroSolve brings the very best of European technology to New Zealand. The company supplies the most innovative and clean solutions for residential and commercial heating. These are high-quality Swiss and Scandinavian ultra-low emission wood burners, smoke filters for domestic fires, and industrial smoke filters for use with biomass boilers (boilers that use wood pellets, wood chips or logs), and meat smokers.
Rene also uses his experience in developing and working with emissions technology, and his extensive research into recycling and waste management to consult on renewable energy and clean technology.

The EBSmoke system of products, by E&B Rauchertechnologien AG of Switzerland, is an innovative patented technology that significantly improves the efficiency of industrial meat smoking system, reduces processing time and product weight loss, while also increasing product quality and reducing emissions by 98%.
The EBSmoke system is retrofittable for any vertical flowing system and consists of three products; IonSmoke (filtering system), EB1 (controller), and EBLuft (data acquisition software).
